Weekend Production Operative
Overview
A global leader in vitamins, minerals and supplements is currently looking for experienced manufacturing operatives to join their team on weekends. Rates of pay and hours are set to meet business demand, with work in a safe, disciplined, effective and efficient manner in line with company policies, procedures and requirements defined by the Warehouse Management Team.
Hours and Pay
- Days: £14.86 per hour
- Nights: £15.73 per hour
- 30 minute paid break
Hours of Work
- Training during the week: minimum of 3 days per week (flexible on hours)
- Weekend Days: Friday, Saturday & Sunday or Saturday, Sunday & Monday – 12 hour shifts 6am start
- Weekend Nights: Friday, Saturday & Sunday or Saturday, Sunday & Monday – 12 hour shifts 6pm – 6am
- Right candidate may be accommodated for Saturday and Sunday only

Duties
- To ensure the accurate completion of all production documentation
- To clean all equipment after use by reference to the appropriate Work Instructions and record in the appropriate log books
- To maintain the required standard of GMP and housekeeping
- To monitor the mechanical condition of the machines you are working on; take responsibility for any preventative maintenance required; report issues and take corrective action
- To comply with company Health and Safety requirements
- To dispense product in accordance with Batch Manufacturing Records and Standard Operating Procedures; weigh and label raw materials in accordance with SOPs
- To prepare gelatine blends in accordance with Batch Manufacturing Records and Standard Operating Procedures
- To strip and set up compression or encapsulation machines in accordance with Batch Manufacturing Records and Work Instructions
- To film coat and sugar coat product in accordance with Batch Manufacturing Records and Standard Operating Procedures
Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience preferred
- Good ability to read and complete necessary paperwork
- Clear writing ability and oral communication skills
- Keen to learn about all aspects of the job role
- Flexible on working hours
