Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Well Integrity Engineer to join our client's dynamic team, a leading global energy company. This pivotal full-time role, based in Lambeth, London, offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the safe and efficient operation of critical assets. As a Well Integrity Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the long-term integrity, reliability, and regulatory compliance of a diverse portfolio of wells throughout their lifecycle, from design through to abandonment. You will apply your deep technical expertise to mitigate risks, optimize performance, and uphold the highest standards of safety and environmental stewardship. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive well integrity management systems and standards in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform detailed integrity assessments, risk analyses, and fitness-for-purpose evaluations for new and existing wells, including casing, tubing, wellheads, and subsurface safety valves.
  • Monitor well integrity performance data, identify trends, and recommend preventative or corrective actions to ensure safe and reliable operations.
  • Provide expert technical support and guidance to operations, drilling, and completions teams on all aspects of well integrity, including intervention planning and execution.
  • Lead and participate in incident investigations related to well integrity failures, implementing lessons learned to prevent recurrence.
  • Manage and track well integrity anomalies, ensuring timely and effective resolution strategies are in place.
  • Contribute to the development of well design specifications, ensuring integrity principles are embedded from the earliest stages of a project.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in well integrity engineering within the oil and gas industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of well design, construction, and operational integrity principles.
  • Proficiency in well integrity software and data analysis tools.
  • Strong understanding of relevant industry standards (e.g., API, NORSOK) and regulatory frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform risk assessments, root cause analysis, and provide practical engineering solutions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and report writing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or PhD in a relevant engineering field.
  • Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards professional accreditation.
  • Experience with advanced well integrity monitoring techniques and technologies.
  • Proven track record in managing complex well integrity projects or leading specialist teams.
