FABULOUS OPPORTUNITY FOR AFTERNOON/EVENING HOUSEKEEPER AT UHNW HOME IN LONDON

A fabulous opportunity has become available for an experienced and well-presented Housekeeper to join the established household team of a private family in North London. The family live in a substantial six-bedroom property arranged over four floors, with a fully staffed household and a Head Housekeeper and House Manager overseeing the team. This is a hands-on housekeeping position, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation and service throughout the home while working collaboratively with the wider household team.
 
The successful candidate will have a strong eye for detail and take pride in delivering a consistently high standard of housekeeping. The role will involve general housekeeping across the residence, with some assistance to the laundry team when required. There will also be a requirement to provide table service for family dining, so previous service experience would be advantageous, although training can be provided for someone with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
 
This is a friendly and professional household looking for someone who is reliable, discreet and comfortable working as part of a team. The standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 2pm-10pm, although flexibility will occasionally be required to accommodate the family's schedule, which may require the odd weekend shift. Additional hours will be paid separately as overtime.
 
DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Carrying out all general housekeeping duties throughout the six-bedroom, four-storey residence to a consistently high standard
  • Maintaining bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas and entertaining spaces with excellent attention to detail and presentation
  • Assisting with laundry duties when required, including washing, ironing, folding and care of household items
  • Supporting the household with informal table service, including setting and clearing the table and assisting with drinks and wine service
  • Working closely with the Head Housekeeper, House Manager and wider household team to ensure the smooth running of the residence
  • Assisting with occasional entertaining and additional household requirements as needed
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Previous experience as a Housekeeper within a private household, luxury hotel, yacht or similarly high-standard environment
  • Excellent housekeeping skills with a strong eye for detail and pride in presentation
  • Well-presented, professional and personable, with a genuine understanding of high standards of service
  • Comfortable working as part of a larger household team and taking direction from senior members of staff
  • Previous table or hospitality service experience would be advantageous, although training can be provided
  • Flexible and willing to work occasional additional hours and weekends when required, with overtime paid separately
  • Right to live and work in the UK
  • Excellent, checkable references
