Warehouse Operative (Amazon Dept)

Blue Arrow is urgently recruiting for a Warehouse Operator (Amazon Dept) to join our client’s team based in the Baglan area. Paid weekly.

Rate of pay: £14.05ph inc 15% shift allowance.

Hours of work: 6am-6pm shifts – 12 hour day shifts on a 2 week rotating shift pattern (averages out at 42 hours per week).

Shift pattern: Week 1 – Days Days Off Off Days Days Days; Week 2 – Off Off Days Days Off Off Off.

Contract: Temp contract for Christmas period.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately pick and prepare stock in line with customer orders.
  • Scan pallet labels and correctly allocate stock to designated areas.
  • Stack products securely on pallets and apply protective wrapping to maintain quality.
  • Safely load trailers using Powered Pallet Trucks (PPT) in accordance with operational standards.
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping to ensure a clean and organised work environment.
  • Comply with all Health & Safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and on time.
  • Promptly report any product damage or quality issues to the relevant team.

Requirements

  • Experience using handheld scanners preferred.
  • Previous experience working in manufacturing or a warehouse environment.
  • Experience using ride on powered pump trucks preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Works well in a team and individually.

DBS checks will be carried out on day 1 of the assignment and the company offers a NO conviction policy.
