Housekeeping Steward(ess)

We are working with an established private household to help them hire two full-time, permanent Housekeepers for their residences in Mayfair, London, and Virginia Water, Surrey. One Housekeeper will be based at the Mayfair property, while the second will be based at the Virginia Water estate, which comprises four large properties. Both positions offer an excellent opportunity for someone seeking a genuine long-term role within a friendly and settled household team.

The family are typically in residence between April and October, which is the busier period of the year, while the properties are generally unoccupied from October to April. During the quieter months, the roles will focus on housekeeping projects, inventories and organisation around scheduled contractor and maintenance works. When the family are in residence, the positions will involve closer, more hands-on support of the family and household on a rota basis.

Both Housekeepers will work closely with the Head Housekeeper and wider household team. There is scope for the successful candidates to take on additional responsibility and progress as the estate continues to grow and develop. A full driving licence is essential for the Virginia Water position.

These are live-out positions with no accommodation provided, so candidates must already live within close proximity of either Mayfair or Virginia Water, depending on the position they are applying for, and be able to commute reliably for the required shifts. Candidates must also already have the legal right to work in the UK.

The household is looking to welcome both candidates no later than the beginning of October 2026, with interviews and trials taking place throughout September 2026.
