Small animal veterinary surgeon role - exotic caseload possible - Essex

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly team at a modern, recently refurbished practice just outside Chelmsford, Essex. They offer an excellent combination of small animal and exotic medicine. The practice enjoys peaceful countryside surroundings while benefiting from excellent transport links into London, making it an ideal location for those seeking a better work-life balance without city living costs.
Led by 2 experienced Partners, the practice manages a varied first-opinion caseload alongside a growing number of exotic patients. This makes the role particularly appealing for a vet with an interest in exotic species, with support and mentoring available for those keen to expand their knowledge and clinical skills in this area. The practice offers a well-equipped clinical environment and encourages professional development, clinical freedom and ongoing learning.
This position is suited to a Veterinary Surgeon with at least two years of UK clinical experience who is looking to continue developing within a supportive and progressive practice. The rota includes one in three Saturdays, minimal on-call commitments and a light Bank Holiday requirement of one to two days with time off in lieu, allowing for a healthy balance between work and personal life.
With a competitive salary and benefits including private medical insurance, life assurance, five weeks of annual leave plus Bank Holidays. A healthy £1,500 CPD allowance, three days of paid CPD leave, funded certificate opportunities, RCVS, VDS and BVA are fully funded, with relocation assistance and visa sponsorship available for eligible candidates.
