Senior FF&E interior designer

Arya Douge is seeking a senior interior designer with expertise in FF&E to join its team in London.

Arya Douge is seeking a talented and highly motivated senior interior designer with expertise in FF&E to help shape the next chapter of the practice.

This is an opportunity for a creative, highly organised and detail-driven designer to take ownership of exceptional residential projects, working closely with the founders and our wider team from initial concept through to final installation.

We are looking for someone with a sophisticated design sensibility, a deep appreciation for furniture design, materials, craftsmanship and architectural detail, and the confidence to translate ambitious creative ideas into beautifully executed interiors. You will combine technical expertise with an instinctive understanding of high-end residential design, balancing creativity with organisation and bringing practical judgement to every stage of the process.

The role

Arya Douge is an established, design-led studio offering both architecture and interior design. This appointment will build on our existing interior design work and establish a furniture and dressing service, extending the support we offer clients through to the finishing details of their homes.

Alongside leading the design and delivery of projects, you will play a central role in shaping this service, bringing your own creative perspective, sourcing knowledge and relationships with makers and suppliers. Working within a collaborative studio, you will contribute to the overall design direction while taking responsibility for the details that bring each interior together.

About you

We are looking for a designer with a portfolio of beautifully executed interiors, an exceptional eye for detail and a genuine passion for architecture, interiors and decorative arts.

You will bring curiosity and initiative, enjoy contributing ideas and sharing knowledge, and work closely with colleagues while taking responsibility for the quality and progress of your own work.

You will be equally comfortable developing an ambitious design concept, preparing detailed technical documentation, sourcing a rare material or liaising directly with a client or contractor.

Essential experience and skills:

  • minimum five years’ professional experience within a reputable interior design or architectural practice, preferably specialising in high-end private residential projects
  • a relevant qualification in interior design, interior architecture or architecture
  • a strong portfolio demonstrating refined design aesthetics, technical competence and completed projects

  • strong understanding of high-end furniture, fabrics, lighting, stone, timber, specialist finishes and decorative materials
  • proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop; SketchUp, Archicad or other 3D modelling software would be advantageous
  • proven experience coordinating with consultants, contractors and suppliers, including practical on-site involvement
  • excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities without compromising design quality
  • strong communication and presentation skills, combined with discretion, professionalism and a client-focused approach

Working arrangement: full-time, office-based role, five days per week.

Benefits:

  • 22 days’ annual leave plus UK bank holidays
  • participation in the company pension scheme
  • access to the cycle to work scheme
