We build commercial, clinical, and patient facing solutions for pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device organizations, and our consultants come from the industry they serve.<br><br>The Salesforce Practice delivers across Sales Cloud, Life Sciences Cloud, Health Cloud, Service Cloud, Data Cloud, and Marketing Cloud. This role sits at the center of that delivery.<br><br><strong>The Role<br><br></strong>We are hiring a Senior Solution Architect to own the architecture and solution design of our most complex Salesforce engagements across three domains: commercial, R&D and clinical, and patient services. You will translate business problems into defensible platform architecture, document it clearly enough that a distributed team can build from it, and stay accountable for the outcome through go live.<br><br>This is a hands on architecture role, not an oversight role. You will be in the design sessions, in the data model, in the integration specifications, and in code review. You will also lead a development team spanning onshore and offshore resources, and you will be measured in part on how much stronger those developers are twelve months from now than they are today.<br><br><strong>What You Will Own<br><br></strong><strong>Solution Architecture and Design<br><br></strong><ul><li>Own end to end solution architecture for Salesforce engagements across commercial, R&D and clinical, and patient services, including data model, security model, integration architecture, and platform boundary decisions.</li><li>Lead discovery and design workshops with client business and IT stakeholders, and convert ambiguous requirements into a documented, buildable design.</li><li>Produce and maintain the core architecture artifacts: solution design documents, reference architecture diagrams, data models, integration specifications, and technical decision logs with the rationale and alternatives captured.</li><li>Make and defend build versus configure versus buy calls, including where an AppExchange or ISV solution is the right answer instead of custom development.</li><li>Design integrations to the life sciences data ecosystem, including customer and product master data, claims and prescription data, HCP and HCO reference data, and downstream analytics platforms.</li><li>Set and enforce architectural guardrails on governor limits, large data volume design, sharing and visibility, and technical debt so solutions scale past the first release.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Delivery and Engagement Leadership<br><br></strong><ul><li>Serve as the senior technical owner on assigned engagements, accountable for solution quality, technical risk, and the credibility of the design in front of the client.</li><li>Partner with delivery leads and project managers on estimation, sprint scope, sequencing, and release planning, and flag scope and technical risk early rather than at UAT.</li><li>Own the technical portion of change orders and estimates, and stand behind the numbers you put your name on.</li><li>Drive resolution when a build stalls, including making the call on design changes and escalating tradeoffs to practice leadership with a recommendation, not just a problem.</li><li>Represent the solution in client architecture review boards, security reviews, and validation discussions.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Team Leadership and Enablement<br><br></strong><ul><li>Lead the development team on your engagements, spanning onshore US and offshore India resources, including work assignment, design walkthroughs, and code review.</li><li>Upskill developers deliberately. Build and run internal enablement on Life Sciences Cloud, Health Cloud, integration patterns, and life sciences business context, and pair junior developers on design work rather than only assigning tickets.</li><li>Establish and improve reusable assets: design templates, accelerators, coding standards, and delivery patterns the whole practice can pull from.</li><li>Operate effectively across time zones. Structure the work, the handoffs, and the review gates so an offshore pod can make progress without you online, and hold a consistent overlap window with the India team.</li><li>Mentor architects and senior developers toward architect level capability, and contribute to technical interviewing and hiring.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Presales and Practice Contribution<br><br></strong><ul><li>Support presales as the technical authority on qualified pursuits, including solution shaping, architecture slides, estimation models, and client facing solution presentations.</li><li>Contribute to practice level intellectual property, including reference architectures, accelerators, and competitive positioning against Veeva Vault CRM and other life sciences platforms.</li><li>Stay current on the Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud and Health Cloud roadmap and advise clients on sequencing around it.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Required Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Experience: 10 or more years in enterprise technology delivery, with 7 or more years on the Salesforce platform and 3 or more years in a solution architect or lead architect capacity.</li><li>Life sciences depth: 5 or more years delivering to pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device clients, with working fluency in how commercial, medical, clinical, and patient services organizations actually operate.</li><li>Platform breadth: Hands on delivery experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud and Health Cloud, plus direct experience with Veeva CRM or Veeva Vault CRM.</li><li>Architecture output: A track record of producing the artifacts, not just the ideas. You can show solution design documents, data models, and integration specifications you personally authored.</li><li>Integration architecture: Designed and delivered enterprise integrations using an integration platform such as MuleSoft, Workato, or Boomi, and comfortable with REST and SOAP APIs, event driven patterns, and batch data flows.</li><li>Team leadership: Led development teams, including offshore resources, with accountability for their technical output and their growth.</li><li>Client presence: Credible in front of client directors and executives, and able to explain a technical tradeoff to a non technical audience without losing the substance.</li><li>Regulated environment awareness: Working knowledge of GxP and computer system validation, 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA, and GDPR as they constrain platform design.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Certifications<br><br></strong>Certifications are not required for this role. We will take demonstrated delivery over credentials every time. That said, Salesforce Application Architect, System Architect, Certified Technical Architect, Health Cloud Accredited Professional, Agentforce Life Sciences Consultant, and Veeva CRM Certified Administrator are all viewed favorably, and we will fund and support certification for anyone who wants it.<br><br><strong>Preferred Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Consulting or systems integrator background, with comfort in a utilization and pursuit driven environment.</li><li>Experience on a Veeva to Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud migration or displacement, including data migration strategy and business process reconciliation.</li><li>Salesforce Data Cloud, Data 360, or Agentforce design experience, particularly for commercial or patient services use cases.</li><li>Marketing Cloud, Marketing Cloud Growth, or Marketing Cloud Advanced exposure and an understanding of consent and preference management in a pharma context.</li><li>Familiarity with the pharma commercial data stack, including IQVIA, Symphony, Komodo, MMIT, Veeva Network, Reltio, or Informatica.</li><li>Salesforce DevOps tooling and release management, including SFDX, CI and CD pipelines, and Copado or Gearset.</li><li>Advanced Therapy Management experience, including chain of custody and chain of identity for cell and gene therapy.</li><li>Experience contributing to reusable accelerators or productized offerings inside a practice.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Working Model<br><br></strong>This is a US based remote role with travel to client sites as engagements require. You will work daily with an offshore delivery team in India and should expect a consistent morning overlap window. We do not run a follow the sun model by accident.
