As a Remote Online Notary (RON) and Mobile Notary Signing Agent, you will complete notarizations through approved online platforms and conduct traditional in-person signings. Responsibilities include guiding borrowers through mortgage loan documents, verifying identification, ensuring proper execution of documents, and returning completed files to hiring companies. This is an independent role with the freedom to choose the assignments you want. Notaries who offer both mobile and online services are in especially high demand.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Remote Online Notarizations (RON):

Conduct virtual notarizations using approved platforms such as Nexsys Clear Sign, DocuSign Notary, BlueNotary, Notarize, and SIGNiX.

Verify signer identity using multi-factor authentication.

Guide the signer through the online signing process in accordance with state notary laws.

Complete electronic journals and digital notarial certificates.

Upload, certify, and return completed documents to the hiring company.

Mobile and In-Person Loan Signings:

Travel to client homes, workplaces, or agreed-upon public locations.

Review, witness, and notarize real estate loan documents, including refinances, purchases, HELOCs, loan modifications, and reverse mortgages.

Confirm borrower identity and verify the accuracy of all signatures and initials.

Return loan packages through secure upload or overnight delivery.

Maintain accuracy, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times.

Requirements

Active Notary Public commission in your state.

Ability to work remotely and/or travel for mobile signings.

Must have or be willing to obtain state-approved RON authorization.

Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
