Main Duties and Responsibilities

As the Admissions Officer, you will oversee the end-to-end journey for every student joining the school. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Enrolment Management: Coordinating the main Year 7 intake, mid-term admissions, and Sixth Form applications. You will ensure all processes are conducted in accordance with the school’s admissions policy and national codes of practice.

  • Family Liaison: Acting as the primary point of contact for prospective parents and students. You will handle inquiries via phone, email, and in person, providing clear guidance on the application process and oversubscription criteria.

  • Data Integrity: Managing the admissions module of the school’s Management Information System (such as SIMS or Arbor), ensuring student records are created accurately and that all statutory data is captured.

  • Appeals and Panels: Preparing the necessary documentation for admissions appeals and representing the school’s position with accuracy and professionalism.

  • Transition Coordination: Working closely with primary schools and our pastoral team to manage the "induction" process, ensuring that essential student information is transferred securely and effectively.

  • Event Management: Taking a lead role in the planning and execution of Open Mornings, transition evenings, and Sixth Form interviews, ensuring these events showcase the very best of the school.

  • Statutory Reporting: Liaising with the London Borough of Bromley’s admissions team to coordinate offer days and maintain the school’s waiting lists in accordance with legal requirements.
