South East London (Commutable from: Lewisham, Catford, Greenwich, Blackheath, Bromley, Deptford, New Cross, Canary Wharf)

Are you a Buyer with experience buying and purchasing Construction Materials? Are you looking to join a high-end contractor where you can deepen your technical capability through CIPS training?

This is a permanent, office-based position with an established refurbishment contractor, offering a long-term role where you can sharpen your buying expertise and be trusted to manage key packages end-to-end. With a strong pipeline of work and a clear focus on developing the right people, you'll have genuine scope to grow your impact within the business.

You'll join a close-knit, family-run contractor delivering high-end residential refurbishments and associated works, with a loyal, repeat client base and framework agreements supporting steady workflow. They've built their reputation on quality delivery and are focused on sustainable, controlled growth, not scaling at the expense of standards.

Based from the office, you'll place orders, coordinate logistics, manage plant/equipment oversight, and liaise with suppliers and site teams to keep projects running smoothly and cost-effectively.

This role suits a buyer driven by technical progression and becoming a recognised specialist. Someone who wants structured development through CIPS, more ownership, and the satisfaction of delivering high-quality projects with a respected contractor.

The Role:

  • Placing material orders and controlling supply to live refurbishment projects
  • Office-based in South East London , liaising with suppliers and site teams on logistics
  • Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (permanent position)


The Person:

  • Construction background with strong materials knowledge (including costings)
  • Experience buying construction materials
  • Organised and proactive, able to manage purchasing/logistics priorities day-to-day
