Financial Controller

Robert Half Finance and Accounting are currently looking to recruit a Financial Controller to join an exciting Construction company experiencing huge growth based in Gloucester. For the right person the client is offering a very competitive:

£75,000 - £85,000 plus up to 15% bonus and 3 remote working days per week

Role responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Manage the monthly, quarterly and annual close process for all UK entities
  • Build, lead and develop the local Finance team
  • Ensure accurate statutory accounting in UK GAAP (FRS 102) and IFRS compliance
  • Prepare and submit group reporting packages, ensuring data quality, reconciliation and IFRS adjustments
  • Coordinate external audit preparation and ensure timely delivery of audited statutory financial statements
  • Coordinate transfer pricing documentation with Group Tax Manager
  • Implement and maintain internal controls
  • Manage bank relationships and corporate registration matters for the UK
  • Act as finance business partner for Regional Managers
  • Manage analytical accounting and reporting for projects and contracts
  • Define and monitor cash forecasts in coordination with local managers and Group Treasury
  • Drive process improvement and ERP optimisation

Person specification:

  • Fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 3-5 years PQE
  • Operating within Engineering, Manufacturing,Construction, Energy, Retail or FMCG
  • Currently operating as a technical Senior Finance Manager or Financial Controller
  • Have an in-depth knowledge of consolidation and reporting tools
  • Working knowledge of IRFS
  • In-depth knowledge in advanced function for Excel, Power Point, Word, Power Query/database, Power BI and automated dashboards
