Warehouse Operative with Forklift
Found Industrial are looking for a Forklift Warehouse Operative to work alongside our client in Uckfield on a full time basis. The role will include operating forklift, working within the warehouse as part of a team and adhering to health and safety at all times. The Role of FLT and Warehouse Operative: • To comply with all relevant accreditation and standards • Cover Dispatch Manager role in event of absence or holiday • Be proactive in proposing solutions to any issues or problems • Assist with running of site including organising goods in, shipping and dealing with logistical queries • Complete required paperwork and electronic updated relating to dispatched items, stock control and goods in • Oversee general operations and report issues to relevant person Duties of Warehouse Operative: • Picking and preparation of orders for dispatch to customers • Ensuring all items for dispatch meet brand and regulatory standards • Assist with training of temporary staff • Assist with monthly stock inventory counts • Operate forklift in safe and correct way • Work to deadlines and timescales Requirements for Warehouse Operative: • Background in managing daily operations, including opening, closing and maintaining building security • Strong understanding and experience adhering to health and safety regulations, particularly in a warehouse setting • Computer literate • Valid forklift license Benefits for Warehouse Operative: • Temp-to-perm position • Paid weekly whilst temporary, with holiday entitlement • Generous staff purchasing privileges • Additional benefits such as life assurance plan, NHS cash plan, Perkbox We are also happy to speak with candidates from similar backgrounds such as factory/production as well as individuals who have worked within merchants and wholesale suppliers.
