About the Job

Searidge Technologies, a global leader and preferred partner for Remote Tower and Digital Airport solutions is currently recruiting for a Cloud Operations Specialist who is ready to work in a fast pace, dynamic environment. The Cloud Operations Specialist is responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and optimizing the Searidge AWS-based infrastructure to ensure high availability, scalability, and security. You will work closely with development, DevOps, and security teams to support day-to-day operations, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve our cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and Monitor AWS Infrastructure

  • Oversee CloudWatch, Amazon Kinesis, SES, SQS, MSK, EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, EKS, and other AWS services
  • Set up and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging to ensure system health and performance
  • Optimize cloud resources for cost efficiency and reliability

Operational Excellence

  • Perform routine system checks, patching, and upgrades
  • Respond to incidents, participate in on-call rotation, and perform root-cause analysis
  • Ensure adherence to SLAs for availability and performance

Automation & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Automate operational tasks (deployments, backups, scaling)
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve system reliability

Collaboration & Documentation

  • Work with development teams to enable smooth CI/CD deployments
  • Create and maintain clear documentation for infrastructure, runbooks, and incident response
  • Communicate clearly about outages, upgrades, and changes to stakeholders

Security & Compliance

  • Implement and maintain best practices for AWS security (IAM policies, security groups, encryption)
  • Support audits and compliance requirements

Key Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience managing AWS environments in production
  • Strong understanding of core AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, ALB/NLB, GuardDuty)
  • Experience with Kubernetes (EKS) or container orchestration
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Proven Experience with Infrastructure modification thorough Terraform as well as application upgrades/rollback with Helm.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux administration and networking fundamentals
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python, or similar)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
  • Good communication and documentation skills

Bonus Qualifications

  • Knowledge of AWS Well-Architected Framework
  • Experience with cost optimization strategies
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, etc.)
