You will assess online patient consultations, make autonomous evidence-based clinical decisions and support patients throughout their treatment journey — all within a technology-enabled clinical environment.

The Role

As a German speaking GP, you will provide safe, high-quality clinical assessment and decision-making within a remote healthcare environment. A significant element of the role will involve reviewing asynchronous patient consultations, including patients accessing weight-management services and other digital healthcare pathways.

You will work independently while being part of a wider multidisciplinary Clinical Team, with access to appropriate clinical governance, protocols and support. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of new digital healthcare services and clinical pathways as the organisation continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and clinically assess asynchronous online patient consultations.
  • Assess patient suitability for GLP-1 therapies and other treatments, in line with clinical guidelines and established prescribing pathways.
  • Request additional clinical information or clarification where required to support safe clinical decision-making.
  • Make autonomous, evidence-based clinical decisions within your professional scope of practice.
  • Prescribe safely and appropriately in accordance with GMC guidance, UK legislation and clinical protocols.
  • Monitor patients receiving treatment and support them throughout their healthcare journey.
  • Identify potential clinical risks and ensure appropriate escalation where required.
  • Maintain consistently high standards of clinical safety, governance and patient care within a remote setting.
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients through digital channels.
  • Participate in clinical governance, audit, quality improvement and clinical review activities.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary clinical and operational teams.
  • Provide clinical input into the development of new treatments, services and digital healthcare products.
  • Contribute ideas and expertise to improve clinical pathways, processes and patient experience.
  • Keep clinical knowledge and professional practice up to date in line with relevant guidance and standards.

Candidate profile

  • Fluent German and English, both written and verbal – essential.
  • GMC registration with a licence to practise in the UK.
  • CCT in General Practice.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and experience gained within UK General Practice.
  • Excellent knowledge of evidence-based medicine and safe prescribing.
  • Confidence making autonomous clinical decisions.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, professionally and compassionately with patients.
  • Strong understanding of clinical risk, safeguarding and patient safety.
  • Excellent organisation and time-management skills.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience using electronic clinical systems and digital healthcare platforms.
  • A genuine interest in digital healthcare, remote patient care and healthcare innovation.
