Perform as the Principal Cor Anglais player and 3rd Oboe in the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, ensuring high-quality performances in both live concerts and recordings. Attend all rehearsals, sectionals, and performances as required by the orchestra's schedule. Collaborate closely with the other woodwind players and the conductor to achieve a cohesive and balanced sound. Maintain a high level of musicianship and technical proficiency, continuously striving for improvement and growth. Prepare and practice all assigned repertoire and solo parts thoroughly and effectively. Attend all required meetings, including section meetings and individual performance evaluations, and actively contribute to discussions and decision-making. Participate in educational and outreach programs, such as school visits and community performances, to promote the orchestra and engage with audiences of all ages. Maintain a professional and positive attitude, representing the orchestra and the BBC with integrity and excellence. Collaborate with the orchestra's management and administrative team on scheduling, programming, and any other relevant matters. Keep up-to-date with current musical trends and developments, and actively seek out opportunities for personal and professional growth. Be an ambassador for the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, promoting its mission and values both within the organization and to the public. Adhere to all orchestra policies and procedures, including those related to health and safety, attendance, and code of conduct. Maintain and care for the assigned instrument(s) and equipment.
