Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of traditional South Indian dishes, ensuring authentic flavors and presentation
  • Supervise food production processes to maintain consistency, quality, and safety standards
  • Manage kitchen operations, including inventory control, ingredient sourcing, and cleanliness protocols
  • Lead and motivate kitchen staff, providing guidance on food preparation techniques and culinary best practices
  • Oversee food safety procedures, ensuring compliance with health regulations and sanitation standards
  • Collaborate with the restaurant team to deliver exceptional service and customer satisfaction
  • Train new team members in food preparation, serving techniques, and kitchen safety

Experience

  • Proven experience working as a South Indian Chef or in a similar culinary role with a focus on South Indian cuisine
  • Supervising experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment
  • Strong background in food production, cooking, and kitchen management
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
  • Experience in restaurant operations, including serving and customer interaction is preferred
  • Hands-on experience with food preparation techniques specific to South Indian dishes such as dosas, idlis, sambar, rasam, and more
