Training & Competence Supervisor – Wealth & IFA

Locations: North West | Midlands | Yorkshire | Berkshire | Worcestershire | Wiltshire

Working pattern: Travel typically around 3 times per month

Salary: c.£60,000 + 10% bonus + £4,236 car allowance

We are currently recruiting for a number of Training & Competence Supervisor positions with a leading UK financial advice network.

These are wealth and IFA-focused roles, supporting and supervising advisers and partner firms across a range of T&C and regulatory requirements.

The role

You will be responsible for providing effective supervision, guidance and challenge to advisers, helping to maintain high standards of advice and good customer outcomes.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting risk-based adviser supervision and reviews
  • Providing technical guidance and support to advisers and firms
  • Identifying and addressing areas of risk, development and improvement
  • Supporting T&C requirements and adviser competence
  • Reviewing suitability and other regulatory requirements
  • Building strong relationships with advisers and key stakeholders
  • Ensuring appropriate actions and remediation are completed

What we’re looking for:

  • Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent
  • Previous experience in T&C, adviser supervision or a similar oversight role
  • Strong understanding of FCA regulation and the wealth / financial planning environment
  • Experience conducting risk-based reviews and providing technical guidance
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Mortgage Advice Qualification (MAQ) or willingness to work towards this
