Warehouse Section Leader

We are now looking for a Warehouse Section Leader to join us on a full-time, permanent basis at our Erith site near London (DA18 4AF). The role starts between 21:00 and 23:00, Monday evening through to Saturday morning, depending on business needs. Leading a team of operatives, you'll make sure that every shift runs efficiently, safely, and in line with company standards and procedures. Day-to-day, you'll oversee workflow, delegate tasks, and ensure staff are briefed, supported, and performing to high standards whilst ensuring that all activities are carried out safely and in compliance with company and customer requirements. Additionally, you will

  • Manage staff performance, attendance, and conduct in line with company procedures
  • Ensure consistent 5S compliance and promote safe working practices
  • Handle communication between management and team members
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency
  • Carry out equipment checks and escalate any safety or operational concerns

    Team leadership and/or supervision experience from a logistics or production background
  • The ability to manage a team within a busy warehouse environment
  • Good knowledge of disciplinary and grievance procedures
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A full counterbalance forklift truck licence

    Salary of £40,797.76 plus a £1,872 shift allowance
