Weekend Nanny – Central London – £28–£35 gross per hour

  • Location: Central London
  • Hours: Saturday and Sunday, 8am–8pm
  • Salary: £28–£35 gross per hour, depending on employment status (advertised as £35,000–£45,000 per year)
  • Contract: Self-employed or PAYE
  • Start: Immediate start for the right candidate

Private clients are seeking an experienced Weekend Nanny to join a fully staffed, formal household and provide high-quality care for four children aged 2 to 12.

The role requires professionalism, reliability and the ability to work as part of a team of household staff. The successful candidate will show excellent judgement, strong organisational skills and the ability to manage busy, activity-filled days.

Key responsibilities

  • Providing attentive, safe and developmentally appropriate care for children aged 2–12
  • Managing sole and shared charge confidently within a formal household structure
  • Planning and overseeing daily routines, activities, outings and engagements
  • Escorting the children to lessons, sports, social events and cultural activities across London
  • Supporting educational development, including homework, reading, educational games and music practice
  • Maintaining a calm, structured and positive environment throughout the day
  • Communicating effectively with the parents and other household staff
  • Keeping the children's belongings, play areas and activity materials organised
  • Upholding household standards, etiquette and expectations at all times

Candidate requirements

  • Recent, checkable experience as a nanny in private households
  • A strong background in childcare across multiple age groups
  • Confidence managing busy schedules and high-energy days
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Full eligibility to work in the UK
